The sports world took notice on December 5 when the Yale men’s basketball team shocked defending national champion Connecticut Huskies with a 45–44 win. Guard Jack Montague ’16 (left) sank a three-pointer with less than two seconds left in the game to give the Bulldogs their first win against UConn since 1986—and on the Huskies’ own court in Storrs, Connecticut. “I thought our team was ready to do this,” said coach James Jones after the game. “We were ready for a signature win.”
