Greenwich, Connecticut

Please join us for a memorable event as Professor Jay Winter, the Charles J. Stille Professor of History, Yale University, will speak on "The First World War: A Transitional Approach". Before the speaker guests may enjoy a private viewing of the Historical Society's exhibit: "Greenwich Faces The Great War".  Please don't miss this opportunity to enjoy the beautiful fall setting of the Bush-Holley House and our delicious reception in the Vanderbilt Education Center (the "Barn").

Professor Winter is a specialist on World War I and its impact on the 20th century.  Winter was co-producer, co-writer and chief historian for the PBS series, "The Great War and the Shaping of the 20th Century," which won an Emmy Award and a Peabody Award.

The exhibit will be open from 6:00-7:30 pm in the Storehouse Gallery next to the Bush-Holley House (please no food or drinks in the Gallery).  YAAG Board Member Karin Crooks will be available to provide further information about the exhibit.  A portion of the research for the exhibit was provided by YAAG 2013 Summer Intern, Amanda Hall.
