Scholarship Dinner featuring Dean Jonathan Holloway ’95PhD

The Scholarship Dinner benefits the Yale Club of Chicago Foundation which raises funds and makes donations to Yale for financial aid for Chicago-area students attending Yale.  Since 1903, the Foundation has awared an estimated $1,350,000 in total scholarship gifts to over 3700 students.

 

We are honored to have Yale College Dean Jonathan Holloway Ph.D. ’95 as our distinguished guest speaker.  He became the dean of Yale College in July 2014 and is also a Professor of African American Studies, History and American Studies. Dean Holloway specializes in post-emancipation United States history with a focus on social and intellectual history.  Holloway won the William Clyde DeVane Award for Distinguished Scholarship and Teaching in Yale College in 2009. He served as the master of Calhoun College from 2005 to 2014. 

 

Robbin Walsh Schoewe ’85 will receive the William McCormick Blair ’25 Distinguished Service Award for leading Yale Club of Chicago alumni service efforts that have changed others’ lives.  She has led the Club’s efforts with Refugee One to help refugee families transition to their new life in the USA.

 

Located in the heart of the Magnificent Mile, the Woman's Athletic Club has been identified with graciousness and elegance for over 100 years.
