Gloria Marie Steinem is an American feminist, journalist, and social and political activist who became nationally recognized as a leader and spokeswoman for the feminist movement in the late 1960s and early 70s. She was a columnist for New York magazine and a founder of Ms. magazine. In 1969, she published an article, "After Black Power, Women's Liberation," which brought her to national fame as a feminist leader.

Steinem discusses her first book in over 20 years, My Life on the Road, a candid account of how unexpected people and encounters led her to transformative ideas. The author of such books as Revolution from Within: A Book of Self-Esteem and Outrageous Acts and Everyday Rebellions, Steinem received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama in 2013.

In addition to the discussion, alumni and guests will meet in the “Green Room” for a reception before the show.
