Free performance of Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" and Shakespeare readings in Griffith Park. On September 5th at the Old Zoo in Griffith Park, Symphony In The Glen, led by Arthur B. Rubinstein (’58), collaborates with the Independent Shakespeare Co. for the third year to delight audiences with “Signifying Nothing!” – a touch of music, a dash of Shakespeare and a splash of Commedia dell’arte The evening begins with Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons,” interspersed with Shakespeare readings. On the second half, Commedia characters invade the Old Zoo stage for Mozart’s raucous “Pantalone and Columbine”. Bring family, friends, a picnic, a blanket (and a sweater) to enjoy a concert under the stars.
