In Remembrance: Howard L. Parker '56 Died on January 24 2014

Howard L. Parker, 79, passed away January 24, 2014. After graduating from Yale College in 1956 with a degree in Industrial Engineering and a Naval Commission, he served in the Navy for 27 months as the Main Engine Division Officer and MPA aboard the USS Intrepid (CVAII), an aircraft carrier now a museum in New York City. Over a span of 36 years, he sold technical products for GE, Texas Instruments, Warner Electric, Viking Pump and Johns-Manville, moving to Atlanta in 1978 as regional sales manager for Viking Pump. Howie participated in many sports but favored soccer and hockey. He was captain of the Intrepid's soccer team; played ALTA tennis with The Branches Club for many years, and golf at Berkeley Hills Golf Club. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Red Wings.
