Yale gets Kissinger trove

Former secretary of state Henry Kissinger went to college and graduate school at Harvard, and he taught there for 17 years. But it was announced in June that the papers of the world-renowned practitioner of shuttle diplomacy and realpolitik are coming to Yale. Kissinger, whose two children went to Yale College, is donating a million documents and objects; they will be the foundation for the new Johnson Center for the Study of American Diplomacy, funded by a gift from Charles B. Johnson ’54. The center will bring “prominent statesmen” to campus as Kissinger Senior Fellows and will host Kissinger Visiting Scholars.
