But it was announced in June that the papers of the world-renowned practitioner of shuttle diplomacy and realpolitik are coming to Yale. Kissinger, whose two children went to Yale College, is donating a million documents and objects; they will be the foundation for the new Johnson Center for the Study of American Diplomacy, funded by a gift from Charles B. Johnson ’54. The center will bring “prominent statesmen” to campus as Kissinger Senior Fellows and will host Kissinger Visiting Scholars.
