The Yale Club of Los Angeles invites Yale, MIT, and Princeton alums to the Los Angeles High Table, a new every-other-month series aimed at showcasing dynamic speakers in an intimate setting. This event features a talk by Nicole Torre on the challenges of environmental and socially based content in Hollywood. Writer and director Nicole Torre is President of New Angle Media, which is devoted to creating entertainment that is inspiring and uplifting as well as globally and socially conscious. Her debut documentary feature film, "Houston We Have a Problem," lays bare America's thirst for oil from the point of view of those inside the oil industry. The film has played at film festivals around the world and received several prestigious honors, including a 2011 Emmy Nomination.
