Kerry Initiative names 2022–23 fellows

The Kerry Initiative recently announced the selection of 19 Yale University students as Kerry Fellows for the 2022–23 academic year. The students, coming from diverse backgrounds and life experiences, represent Yale College and several of Yale’s graduate and professional schools, including the Schools of Management, Environment, Public Health, Law, Global Affairs, and the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

Fellows collaborate with US policymakers on leading-edge research and high-profile publications for a global audience, touching on issues from the global environment to democracy and technology. The initiative, part of the Yale Jackson School of Global Affairs, was founded by Special Presidential Envoy for Climate Change and the 68th US secretary of state John Kerry ’66.

New five-year degree introduced

The Jackson School of Global Affairs has launched a new five-year BA–BS/MPP program for Yale College students. Students apply for the program in the spring term of their junior year and must complete all of the requirements for the MPP degree, including the core curriculum, language requirement, leadership and ethics workshop, and summer internship or project.
