Among the many things the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted was study abroad, but now students are back to their pre-pandemic travels. Yale’s Study Abroad office has told us that nearly 50 percent of Yale College students now earn academic credit for international study during their undergraduate years. (That’s not to mention other activities, like jobs and research.) Here’s a breakdown of where students went in the 2022–23 academic year. The top countries? The United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, and Taiwan.
