Alumni work exhibited at Smithsonian

Three graduates of the Yale School of Art are among the 48 finalists of the 2013 Outwin Boochever Portrait Competition, a triennial event that invites artists from around the nation to submit entries in all media to be considered for prizes and exhibit at the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery. The 48 finalists, who were selected from more than 3,000 entries, are showing their work in an exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, DC, on view through January 2014. The three School of Art graduates are: Paul D’Amato ’85MFA, whose photographic inkjet print Lillian, New Covenant Church of Deliverance, Chicago, 2011 earned a commendation in the competition; Anne Harris ’88MFA, who submitted the oil on linen Portrait (Red Robe); and Caitlin Teal Price ’09MFA, who entered Leslie, an archival pigment photographic print from 2010.
