Two alumni are Guggenheim fellows

Two graduates of the Yale School of Art have been awarded 2015 fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation.

Photographer Susan Lipper ’83MFA, a native New Yorker, is known for a body of work that straddles the documentary tradition, notably her images from her travels through Appalachia and rural America. She has published a number of monographs, books, and articles, and her work resides in collections around the world. Kyle Staver ’87MFA grew up in northern Minnesota and attended Minneapolis College of Art and Design before doing graduate work at Yale, where she studied with Andrew Forge and William Bailey. She has exhibited in numerous galleries in New York and around the Northeast.
