Really As It Was: Writing the Life of Samuel Johnson

A display celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of Samuel Johnson focuses on what was written about him after his death. Included are James Boswell's correspondence, the manuscript of his Life of Johnson, newspapers, prints, and writings by Johnson's close friend, Hester Thrale Piozzi.
