In the advance publicity for its 150th anniversary reunion concert on February 12, the Yale Glee Club reveled in its advanced age. But the 83 current members and 500 alumni who sang in the concert at Woolsey Hall (including, from left to right, Jennifer Custer Jackson '90, '92MA; Dawn Ellis '90; and Jason Lowenhar '92) weren't just living in the past. The supersized chorus sang the world premiere of "City Song," a work by composer Lewis Spratlan '62, '65MusM, and poet Elizabeth Alexander '84 that was commissioned for the occasion. The celebration continues with a gala anniversary concert at Carnegie Hall on April 8.
