From local theaters to the Marsh Botanical Garden, New Haven’s International Festival of Arts and Ideas finds venues all over the city every year for 15 days of performances, lectures, and conversations. At the 18th festival in June, they even made use of the space over the New Haven Green. In the finale of David Dimitri’s one-man circus performance, L’homme cirque, Dimitri shot himself out of a cannon to a high-wire platform, then walked on the wire out of his circus tent and into the open air above the Green.
