An anonymous $50 million gift will go toward the renovation of the Hall of Graduate Studies as a hub for the humanities at Yale and toward an endowment for humanities teaching and events. A planning committee is working on ideas for the renovation project, which is scheduled to get under way in 2017.

You'll have to wait till May for the Center for British Art to reopen after its renovation—but until then, you can peruse more than 22,000 images from its collection that were recently posted online. That’s the problem at Evans Hall, the transparent home of the School of Management since 2014. A facilities official told the Yale Daily News that the building averaged three bird strikes a day last spring—many of them fatal. Yale hasn’t come up with a solution yet.
