At the end of June, the endowment was valued at $29.4 billion, up from $27.2 billion the year before. Endowment income will contribute $1.4 billion to the university’s budget this year, about 34 percent of revenue. This chart shows how Yale’s 2018 return this year compares with those of some of its peer institutions.
