Could you use a little good news about climate change? The online environmental magazine Grist recently released its annual list of 50 people who are “cooking up the boldest, most innovative solutions . . . to fix the biggest challenges that face our globe.” Three of the 50 are grads of Yale’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. Shyla Raghav ’09MEM (top), of the nonprofit Conservation International, advocates nature-based climate solutions. Adrien Salazar ’17MEM (center) works for the public policy group Demos, promoting an ambitious climate-equity policy in New York State. Dawn Lippert ’06, ’07MEM (bottom), is CEO of Elemental Excelerator, a nonprofit that funds sustainability-related startups.
