Light & VeritySouthern exposureA Yale nurse at the bottom of the world. ![]() Courtesy Jaime Hensel ’13MSNView full imageIt may sound like hyperbole to say that you can go to the ends of the earth and still find a Yale alum. But for a little while it was true—for one end of the earth, anyway. For the past two southern-hemisphere summers (October to February), Jaime Hensel ’13MSN worked as a family nurse practitioner for the US Antarctic Program, helping to care for 160 people at the Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station. She just started a fellowship in palliative and hospice care. It’s in Anchorage, Alaska.
