As we go to press, many events on campus have been postponed, and museums, theaters, and other venues are temporarily closed. But now is a good time to enjoy the wide range of art, artifacts, and talks that Yale offers online. Below are just a few:

Yale Center for British Art
Scroll through images of paintings, prints, and sculpture—and listen to an “Art in Context” talk, about a painting by Peter Paul Rubens (1577–1640). Many other talks are available on the Center’s YouTube channel.

Yale School of Music

Nathan Huvard ’19MusM, ’20MusAM, and Daniel Zanuttini-Frank ’22 perform Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco’s Sonatina Canonica, Op. 196 (Movement I) during the 2019 Guitar Chamber Music concert.

Yale University Art Gallery
If the absence of live and televised sports this spring has you in withdrawal, check out these photographs by former School of Art professor Tod Papageorge from the series American Sports. Find much more on the Gallery’s YouTube channel.

Peabody Museum
Watch a baby emu working very hard to hatch from its egg, captured live in 2014. Visit the Peabody’s YouTube channel for other natural history talks and films.

Institute of Sacred Music

The Yale Schola Cantorum, conducted by David Hill, performs “O Magnum Mysterium” by Tomás Luis de Victoria (1548–1611) during a 2017 concert.
