This post on the Manuscripts and Archives Blog sheds light on John Franklin Enders, Class of 1919, winner of the Nobel Prize in 1954 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1963. His work on the polio and measles vaccines made him known as the “Father of Modern Vaccines.”
