The first exhibition at Yale to be focused on the work of Nigerian artist Moshood Olúsomo Bámigbóyè (ca. 1885–1975) features intricate carved masks and sculpted architectural elements and objects—alongside textiles, beadwork, metalwork, and ceramics by other Yorùbá artists. Archival images show how the artist and his work reflected the Nigeria of his time. (See pages 48 and 49.)
