Light & VerityEconomic growthA new building provides more space and better connection for one of Yale's largest departments. The economics department got a little more space to move around last year with the completion of a new four-story building at 87 Trumbull Street to house the Tobin Center for Economic Policy. As seen in this aerial photo, the new building by Schwartz/Silver Architects (center) connects to the department's existing space in the houses at 28 and 30 Hillhouse (left foreground) and the headquarters of the Institution for Social Policy Studies on Prospect Street (top center)—providing a more unified home for the department.
