Claire's Corner Copia, the vegetarian restaurant on Chapel Street that has soothed generations of Yalies with its Lithuanian coffee cake, turns 50 next year. And founder Claire Criscuolo wants to celebrate with a gift to the city. Criscuolo announced in September that the restaurant will be selling branded merchandise and soliciting donations with the goal of raising $100,000 for the Yale Child Study Center. The money will be used to implement a program in local schools to help children practice empathy and kindness. For details as the merchandise becomes available, go to the restaurant’s website, clairescornercopia.com.
