Yale alumni have until May 18 to cast their votes in the annual election of a member of Yale’s Board of Trustees. This year’s candidates, selected by the Alumni Fellow Nominating Committee, are Robert S. D. Higgins ’85MD of Chicago and Jaime Teevan ’98 of Bellevue, Washington.

Higgins, a cardiothoracic surgeon, is president and chief academic and clinical officer of Rush University. He is a non-trustee member of the Yale Corporation Committee on the School of Medicine and a member of the University Council. Teevan, a computer scientist, is chief scientist and technical fellow at Microsoft. She is a member of the School of Engineering & Applied Science Leadership Council at Yale.

All Yale graduates are eligible to vote, except for Yale College alumni less than five years out. Ballots were sent in April, along with additional biographical information on the two candidates. Alumni who haven’t yet received their ballots should write to yalehelp@electionservicescorp.com.
