Weekly sports roundup (12/9–12/15)

In what is surely the quietest seven days of the year for Yale varsity sports, most athletes were knuckling down for reading period and finals this past week. The only team to see action at all, in fact, was women's basketball, which hosted Georgetown last Tuesday. The Bulldogs (4–6) fought the Hoyas throughout, coming back from a 12-point deficit halfway through the second half, but in the end they lost by a single point, 66–65. Junior Sarah Halejian had 27 points for Yale.

Both the women's and men's basketball teams will be back in action this week.
