Throwback Thursday: bad times for barbers

Our April 1971 issue included a photo feature called “The Lonely Barber,” in which Stu Rohrer ’74 reported on the hard times faced by campus barber shops in an age of long hair. Enzo Pellegrino (seated) and Tony Mongillo (standing) survived those years and then some. Mongillo, and Pellegrino’s son Bernard, still operate Y Haircutting, which is now located on High Street.
