The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences welcomed more than 600 new students this morning at its annual matriculation ceremony in Sprague Hall. Dean Lynn Cooley and President Peter Salovey ’86PhD addressed the incoming students, who were also serenaded by the Citations, a grad-school a cappella group. After Tuesday’s decision by the National Labor Relations Board that graduate teaching assistants can join a labor union, this year is sure to be an interesting one for the Graduate School.
