The Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library is open today for the first time since it closed for renovation in May 2015. Sixteen months and $73 million later, does it look any different than you remember? If not, they did the job right. Most of the work involved updating and improving mechanical systems. Two new classrooms were also added to the library’s existing two, to allow better use of the library’s collections for teaching.
