One of Yale’s most peaceful paths has a raucous past: the brick buildings of Fraternity Row were built in the 1920s and ’30s for seven college fraternities. As they succumbed to the Depression and to competition from the residential college system, the university took them over for purposes ranging from the Afro-American Cultural Center to the Yale Cabaret. What, if anything, brought you to Fraternity Row?
