Just inside the glass façade of New Haven’s new Canal Dock Boathouse is a piece of Yale history: the entrance to the Adee Memorial Boathouse, which stood in New Haven Harbor from 1911 to 2007. The entrance and other elements of the building—a fireplace, exposed wood trusses, and terra cotta ornament—were salvaged when the Adee was demolished to make way for a new I-95 bridge. The new boathouse will host rowing and other boating programs for the New Haven community.
