Remembered in vane

Today is the 268th anniversary of the birth of theologian, educator, and poet Timothy Dwight, who was president of Yale from 1795 to 1817. Timothy Dwight College is named for him and for his namesake grandson, who was president of Yale from 1886 to 1899. That’s the two of them up on the college’s weather vane.
