As the Yale Daily News reported this weekend, the university has decided to house first-year students in their residential colleges next fall instead of on Old Campus, for the second consecutive year. Last fall it was to allow for social distancing; next year it will be to accommodate a larger first-year class due to the many who deferred for a year because of the pandemic. Of course, first-years have long been living in Silliman and Timothy Dwight—and more recently Franklin and Murray. Alums, how did you feel about living on Old Campus—or in your college—as a first-year?
