Mark, wonderful photo! <> My guess is the Hall of Graduate Studies, now called the Humanities Quadrangle. I have never seen a photo of these doors. I could not find any mention of them in the original description of Sterling Library's decoration. <> Is there a published description of HGS decoration available?
Thanks George! They are actually in Sterling--elevators to the stacks. They are mentioned in the Library Gazette, but the descriptions don't match what we see here. I have to back and look at the other set of doors to sort it out.
