Saturday night's Bulldog Bash got off to a rousing start when Batalá New York, an all women, Black-led, Afrocentric percussion ensemble, drummed and danced their way to the Old Campus stage. This year's Bash featured performers and food of the Latin American diaspora. Sponsored by the Yale College Dean's Office with the Schwarzman Center and Yale Hospitality, the Bulldog Bash was created in 2018 to welcome new and returning students; it's back this year after two pandemic years off.
