Throwback Thursday: what goes around

In 1957, Yale tore down the 125-year-old Sheffield House, a historically important Italianate building on lower Hillhouse Avenue, to make room for a utilitarian addition to Dunham Laboratories. Now that addition itself is slated for demolition and replacement as part of a new plan for lower Hillhouse.
