Birth announcement

It’s become an Independence Day tradition: the display of Yale’s copy of the Dunlap Broadside, the first printed version of the Declaration of Independence, at the Beinecke Library. It’s on view through July 12. On Wednesday at 4 pm., the library will hold a public reading of the Declaration and of Frederick Douglass's 1852 oration “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?” More information is here.
