A show in the sky

The crowd outside the Leitner Family Observatory cheered when the solar eclipse reached its 91 percent maximum at 3:27 p.m. today. Until a few minutes before, clouds had threatened to spoil the event, but they cleared away just in time. The observatory provided eclipse glasses and the use of telescopes to watch the phenomenon.
