After graduation from Yale, Cub served in the US Navy, spent several years in the aerospace industry, then went to work for T. Rowe Price, where he stayed for 23 years, serving as president and CEO in the early 1980s. At Yale he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon and Book & Snake.
