ObituariesIn Remembrance: Rawle Deland ’45 Died on December 3 2013Rawle Deland, a veteran of the US Marine Corps who had a long career in the executive search industry, died December 3, 2013, in Darien, Connecticut. A 1945 graduate of Yale College, Deland served as a second lieutenant and was awarded the Bronze Star for heroic action in the Battle of Okinawa. He later attended Harvard Business School and began work at the search firm begun by his father—the first in the United States—Thorndike Deland Associates.
