He practiced cardiology in Middletown and Old Saybrook, Connecticut, associated with Middlesex Memorial Hospital. He was a fellow of the American College of Physicians and American College of Cardiology. He was a lifelong golfer, oenophile, and gourmet cook. Perhaps he was a gourmand. He loved to travel, debate, and sailing. Before starting practice at Middlesex Cardiology, he was a medical director at Pfizer and Miles. Despite some children’s best efforts, he was a lifelong Republican. Some children approved. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations should be directed to the Southern Arizona Humane Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
