ObituariesIn Remembrance: David Anderson Rowand ’49MDiv Died on January 2 2014Reverend David Rowand passed, following a heart attack, on January 2, 2014. He was 94. Following his graduation from West Virginia's Fairmont State College in 1941, David enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard, earning one Battle Star in the Pacific Battle of Okinawa. After an honorable discharge in 1945, David joined the Christian Church Disciples of Christ Ministry and was ordained in 1946, later graduating from the Yale Divinity School in 1949. The Ledger published an obituary on January 5, 2014. |
