His business activities were written about by a cofounder of the successful business they began in the 1960s, Uni-Loc, in The Fail-Proof Enterprise by Bob Thomas. After retiring from that in the 1970s, he pursued his interest in collecting Asian art, including Chinese and Japanese ceramics, jade, porcelain, sculpture, and furniture. He is survived by his widow Sandy and her children and grandchildren; and six children from his first marriage, along with 11 grandchildren (including Natalie Bender Hennessy ’98) and two great-grandchildren. —Submitted by Amoret Cardeiro Heise ’73. |
