ObituariesIn Remembrance: Efrem Zimbalist Jr. ’40 Died on May 2 2014Efrem Zimbalist Jr. passed away peacefully in California on May 2, 2014. He was 95. Mr. Zimbalist was the son of successful musicians Efrem Zimbalist Sr., a violinist, and Alma Gluck, an opera singer. He became a star in his own right through his roles on hit television series 77 Sunset Strip and The F.B.I., in which Zimbalist played hard-boiled investigators Stu Bailey and Lewis Erskine, respectively. He received a 1959 Golden Globe award for "Most Promising Male Newcomer." A full obituary was published in the Washington Post on May 3, 2014. |
