Peter Folger, a resident of Manhattan Beach, California, died February 19. He is survived by his wife Marian, daughters Donna, Holly, Penny, son Jim, and six grandchildren. Pete worked as a marketing executive for Mattel Toys, an account executive for advertising agencies Dancer Fitzgerald Sample and Saatchi & Saatchi, and worked in licensing with Fox Law Group for clients such as Jeff Foxworthy and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham. Pete’s friends and coworkers would tell you that he was a prankster par excellence. He was also known and loved for his hearty laugh and love of storytelling. He is sorely missed.
Pete not only was my brother, he was my stalwart support.
We were both born in N.Y.C. but reached adulthood in Baltimore at which time we each moved away. Pete stayed on the East Coast. I married Wayne Fey (Yale '47) and came to Manhattan Beach, California.
Later, in a great stroke of fate and the Mattel Corporation, Pete moved to Manhattan Beach. How wonderful it was to have my brother and his family living so close!
Then Wayne died. Pete brought the comfort necessary to help me cope with emotional upheaval. The shared laughter was still there but so was the strength. He was as outstanding as we all know him to always have been. The void is not fillable but the memories are lasting.
