In Remembrance: Howard J. Besnia ’50MFA Died on September 13 2014

Howard John Besnia died September 13, 2014, in Sterling, Massachusetts. He was 93. He was an artist, at one point publishing five books in six years, and he taught art for more than 60 years, at high school and college levels.

I have fond memories of Howard Besnia at Fitchburg State in a History of Art Forms course. He was not an easy person to get to know but he was always admired and respected.
