In Remembrance: Richard J. Wood '65PhD Died on August 1 2015

Richard 'Dick' J. Wood passed away in Indianapolis on Saturday, August 1, 2015. Born in Marlette, Michigan, he completed studies at Duke University and Union Theological Seminary before earning both an MA and PhD in Philosophy at Yale. Mr. Wood was particularly renowned for his dedication to Japanese ethics and in 2010 was awarded The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star by the Japanese government. Among many presitigious positions held, he served as Professor and Dean Emeritus at the Yale Divinity School.
