In Remembrance: William C. Robbins ’71 Died on March 31 2016

William C. Robbins passed away on March 31, 2016, at the age of 66. Known as “Celo V’ec,” he was a consummate musician — cellist, violinist, composer, conductor, editor. His legacy at Yale includes being a founder, in 1969, of the Yale Slavic Chorus, Yale’s oldest all-female singing group.

    Celo V'ev was my Love in Mendocino, California, 1974-78. I am a poet and writer of many books. I have just finished my next book, a memoir entitled Son, in which Celo is a major figure. He had a major impacct on my life.
