He was hired by Cornell University in 1966 as a geomorphologist, and later published "Geomorphology: A Systematic Analysis of Late Cenozoic Landforms," the last comprehensive textbook in the field. He is most famous for his work on uplifted coral reefs in Papua New Guinea. The obituary was carried in the Waukesha Freeman on June 13, 2017. |
