In Remembrance: Norman M. Rates ’61MAR Died on April 5 2015

Rev. Dr. Norman M. Rates passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015. He had worked at Spelman College in Atlanta for 48 years—as college minister, professor of religion, chair of the Department of Religion and Philosophy, and dean emeritus of the college’s Sisters Chapel. 

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution carried a full obituary on April 17, 2015, and Spelman College posted a tribute on their website.
